HOSPICE

At the end of life, care plans change. You may no longer need help with diagnosing, treating or curing your disease. Instead, you and your family need physical and emotional support, so you're prepared for what's ahead.

The hospice care team at St. Anthony Hospital can provide the end-of-life care that you—and your family—need during this time.

WHAT IS HOSPICE?

Hospice is a very special form of care that's made for people who are facing a terminal illness and the people who love them. We can help with:

  • Bathing and grooming.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Medication monitoring.
  • Nursing care.
  • Pain and symptom management.
  • Physical or occupational therapy.
  • Respite care.
  • Spiritual support and counseling.

We can also offer bereavement services, if the family needs that form of care.

Our team is able to provide you with hospice care at home, or we can deliver care in a hospital, an assisted living facility or a nursing home.

OUR HOSPICE CARE TEAM

Since people need so many different types of palliative care, we have a robust hospice team that can provide support. That team includes:

  • Home health aides.
  • Hospice nurses.
  • Physicians.
  • Social workers.
  • Spiritual care providers.
  • Volunteers.

When you enroll in hospice, our team will meet with you and your family members and you'll come up with a treatment plan together. You'll adjust that plan as necessary.

Everyone on the team will work hard to keep you as comfortable as possible.
